How LandLock Works

LandLock's revolutionary approach prevents real property theft before it occurs by securely attaching your identity to your property.

The LandLock Process

LandLock's patent-pending method creates a secure connection between your identity and your property, making it virtually impossible for fraudsters to impersonate you.

01

Create Account & Verify Identity

Create your LandLock account and complete our secure identity verification process. We use:

  • Government-issued ID verification
  • Biometric authentication
  • Additional identity verification factors

Privacy Note: Your biometric data is never stored on our servers. We use a secure third-party service with bank-level security that deletes all biometric data after verification.

02

Enter Property Details

Provide information about your property, including:

  • Property address and description
  • Names of all property owners
  • Type of ownership (individual, LLC, trust, etc.)
03

Generate Warning Page©

LandLock generates a Warning Page© that will be recorded on your property's title. This document:

  • Notifies the public that you've registered with LandLock
  • Contains a unique QR code for verification
  • Instructs interested parties to request identity verification
04

Record the Warning Page©

The Warning Page© is recorded on your property's title through one of two methods:

For New Homebuyers:

The Warning Page© is added to your deed at the time of transfer. We provide instructions for your attorney, agent, or closing team to include it with your closing documents.

For Existing Homeowners:

LandLock records a UCC-1 Financing Statement with your county recorder's office and attaches the Warning Page©. This creates a public record that appears in title searches.

05

Manage Property Status

Control your property's status through your LandLock dashboard:

Locked Status

Indicates you have no intention to sell, mortgage, lease, or rent your property. This is the default status.

Unlocked Status

Indicates you are planning a legitimate transaction. Change to this status when you're ready to sell, refinance, etc.

Real-time Alerts: When someone scans the QR code on your Warning Page©, you'll receive an immediate notification, allowing you to monitor interest in your property.

06

Identity Re-verification & Certificate Generation

When you're ready to conduct a legitimate transaction:

  1. Log into your LandLock account
  2. Complete the identity re-verification process
  3. LandLock generates a Certificate of Identity©
  4. Share this certificate with interested parties (buyers, lenders, etc.)

Only you, the verified property owner, can generate this certificate. It contains a unique QR code that interested parties can scan to verify its authenticity at verify.landlock.com.

07

Secure Property Transactions

With LandLock protection in place:

  • Legitimate transactions proceed smoothly with your Certificate of Identity©
  • Fraudsters cannot impersonate you because they cannot pass the biometric verification
  • Your property is protected from unauthorized sales, mortgages, or rentals

This creates a secure chain of verification that prevents property theft before it can occur.

The Verification Portal

When someone scans the QR code on your Warning Page© or Certificate of Identity©, they'll see our secure verification portal.
